Root account? Why do you want to have a root account? Root accounts are disabled on Linux. I don't understand why you would want to have an active root account, since there is nothing you cannot do from your user account.
What do you need to do? So we see how we could help you.
But creating a root account is unthinkable.
A big greeting, and take care of yourself in these times!
I just installed from latest ISO . All went perfect. One concern , the installer did not create a root account .
How do I add a root account ? It might sound a bit silly question but I would like to know how RebornOS team would suggest adding it.
As Rafael said, there is no reason to have an actual root account on Linux. Your user account can do commands as root by using sudo before the command:
sudo systemctl start foobar.service
You will get prompted for your password and then the command will execute like root.
If you really feel you need to do a lot of commands as root, you can always do:
Which will basically give you a root level prompt to then execute commands. But remember that with great power comes great responsibility (i.e. you can easily screw up your system always running with root level privs).
